From going to a yellow hater I am now definitely a yellow lover- more proof in the jumper I bought today- I liked lots of the colours but couldn't resist the yellow!
This resonates with me - I hated brown until I got a mystery pack of seed beads from Beads Direct, all brown. Determined not to waste the money I decided to use them to learn new stitches and totally fell in love with brown in all its many hues. And spent a small fortune on brown clothes to match!
That's interesting. I've always said that I love all colors but in fact, the muddy colors leave me cold. Maybe I need to work with those and learn to love the mud! Of course, I have NO BEADS in those colors! Oh well.
That's the problem- I found the more I worked with colours the more I liked them. But it's hard to work with them in the first place if you don't like them or don't have any of them.
This year-long colour challenge is designed to be a personal challenge to push my work. I plan to concentrate on the three primary colours (red, yellow, blue) and the three secondary colours (orange, green and violet) giving each one two months to experiment with, play around with and generally see what I come up with
